When I moved here with my 3 and Charlie... well it was periodic chaos. It wasn't until Mussy passed that Kitty and Soli divied up the house equally.
Kitty is now eating out of the ry food bowl in the kitchen. Using the cat box - one end only... Soli uses the other end. But they both get water separately. Kitty in the guest bathroom sink... Soli on the counter.
Lately Soli has been taking to sleeping or hanging out in the library. I put an old wicker laundry basket in there and he loves it. Kitty prefers heights... like the top of the book cases.
I am so glad the youngsters are learning for the two hens. That worked out well.
Congrats on the exterior doors. Doe that help keep things warm at all?
I haven't had as much cold problems as I did before I lined the windows. Tonight is it very windy and the temps are dropping into the low 30's... which means the well is shut off.
The other thing that helped was a the rug I bought for the kitchen - it is an indoor outdoor washable carpet and really makes a difference. Especially since the house is on cement blocks and 3 feet off the ground.
I also finally have curtains on all the windows. I may not close them all unless it is in the 20's. All of them are material or curtains bought at a thrift store over a year's time.
Dogs need jobs. I was finally able to figure tht out in 2019. Too much time on my climating to my new home. Overwhelmed I should say. I have relaxed enough with him to let him run the fence to look for deer or Guinea Hens... etc.
His ball is his most important responsibility. Unless it is keeping track of his meals times. OMG I think he has a hidden watch some where. And he is still on DLSt... as far as meal time goes. Shesh.
So good for Tilda.... I may not want to wake at 3am but at least he keeps me on a schedule.. even if it's his. LOL
I really hope that the house can be painted or whatever you need to have done. Especially that the siding dries enough to be painted.
I would probably not turn out Ribbit and buddy. Cool on the serenades.
Crickets are so cool. At least I don't have spiders inside this year. I had hoped to buy some of the balls? that grow in the wild and are usually for sale in the grocery stores. The repel spiders.
Well off to post somewhere else. Hope you had a good weekend. Until I get all this dang paperwork done chaos rules.
Love All Life, Thank You For Posting! :)
