Although mine have done pretty well with small changes in the past. This may just have been too much.

Yes, they are true pets, and are always missed when gone. As I mentioned when we moved them, they sat on Dh's feet in the new yard. We get them at 1 day old, and then we care for them and interact with them from then on.
