coming down in a wall of water off the porch roof.
Otherwise he and his ball are in the yard racing to find deer or dogs intruding in his space. Which was either unfenced or fenced.
If it starts to rain harder - and we may had done a lap or two, he waits for me and we head straight for the front door.
I have big old towels on the floor by the front door to catch the mud, etc. I have a smaller thick one to wipe him down.
The kids gave me a "Paw Spa" for dunking Charlie's paws into to get the worst off his feet. I haven't had a chance to use it yet as it hasn't done anything but drip a bit when we have been outside.... luckily as we were finishing our laps.
This we are due heavy rain tonight and tomorrow. It was 28 this morning. The well is still off. If it is that cold tomorrow it won't be just the birdbath that will freeze.
I just realized I have and old hand brush for doing floors - It will be perfect used for brushing off dried dirt from his paws while he is still outside on the porch.
Thanks for the good question. It inspired me to think of a new way to help keep dirt outside.. 8-)
