I wonder about his reaction and if he did interact with a cat. Good thinking on your part.
I gave Charlie soft toys which were destroyed within minutes. Gradually he worked his way up to Chuckit balls before reaching a non-destruck level. These are his personal favorite. He has a variety with straps - outside balls, without straps - inside balls and dual balls on 1 strap.
He sounds at perfect age to adapt to his new environment and new family.
I thrilled you have him.
20 apples, whoa! Not surprised at the clean sweep as I've seen fruit trees eaten clean myself.
Things are changing everywhere. The deer here have changed their habits also.
Charlie was 3 when we moved here. I had him on leash for a month as he over reacted to neighbor's dogs. And all stays.
He has really gotten better since uphill neighbor left, and his archenemy has been kept on porch - out of sight, out of mind.
Charlie met Chance & cats right away as lived together in one bedroom in my brother's trailer. Then in small mobil home. 6 months there and here from Nov 16th till now 5 years later. Lots of changes...
Can't wait to see how you puppy changes as he grows up.
Charlie had way to many challenges before we got here. Boy has he changed this past year.
