If you are happy with her weight on a certain amount of food, and she doesn't eat as much, or at all, at one meal, you can certainly give her more at the next.
I kind of go by whether or not they finish their food quickly, and will eat more.
Remember the 'old days' when a lot of dogs ate one meal a day? I guess that if they eat enough to maintain their weight on one meal a day, it would be okay. Maybe with treats?
Krypto is not as much of a breakfast dog as he is a lunch and dinner dog. (At this age, he's getting 3 meals a day, plus a handful of kibble in his treat ball. He's growing so fast that he gets thin, quickly, otherwise. Eventually, he'll get 2 meals a day.) So, I give him more food at dinner. But, he's an only dog, so I can let him eat until he's full, and stop when he's done, with no risk of another dog taking what he leaves.
That said, if Mamou is in, I have to pick up what's left immediately, because he loves dog food.
Another thought, is to see if she'll eat breakfast a little later, such as at 11 or noon.
