He was given food and water, but began wandering in here to find us. Rather, the cats, or dog. He seems attracted to them, until Uhura growled and hissed at him. *sigh*
When he followed where we went, into the living room, he tried to get into Krypto's crate. Because I was worried that Krypto would play too rough with him (He's started to bat at things with his feet.), and I wanted to keep track of food, etc., we got Krypto's smaller crate, and he went into it, after a few minutes. And, he's in it still.
We put a plastic shoebox, which he likes to sit in, and now has litter in it, a kitty toy, and a food/water dish in with him.
Because he's barely weaned, he's even having trouble with wet food, which we are adding water to now, so that he can eat it.
Oh, did I mention that there's no way in heck that he's 8-10 weeks old? I'd say more like 5-6 weeks, max.
We've kept looking for other babies from his litter, but have not seen any.
So, either a feral cat...which we've never seen, had a litter, and somehow this baby got away? It's not to likely, because moms pick them up and push them back when they try to wander at this age. And, if an animal killed the mom, then babies would not have been spared, probably.
Or, someone threw him out of a car. That has happened so many times here, that I can believe it easily.
We don't know if he's a boy or a girl. In the meantime, I'm calling him Henry, after a discussion that my aunt and I just had, a couple of hours before he was found.
Krypto, btw, has been lying down in front of the kitten crate, which we put next to his, and has spent about 1/3 of his time today with his nose against it.
So, whew! We got him. Thank you for the prayers!
