While he's interested in the kitten overall, I don't know how pure his motives are!
But, when it comes to sharing, no. Today, when I was holding the kitten, he wanted on my lap. That wasn't going to work at all!
Afterwards, if a dog could look depressed, he was the poster boy for it. He laid down, no happy bouncy anything going on, his head between his front paws, and didn't move for a bit.
I'm trying to balance it, though, because I want them to be friends, so have worked hard to include him.
For example, when the kitten is fed, we have Krypto sit and wait (no reason to miss a training opportunity, not to mention keeping him from jumping up.) while we open the door, put the food in, then close it again. *Then* he gets to lick the container. It's smaller than his tongue, pretty much, so it's one/two swipes only, but he seems to be happier being involved.
