It's raining! (Until 4-5 A.M. they said.) Praying that it doesn't turn into the predicted T-storm, though, as lightning would be deadly all over right now.
Krypto has never seen rain before...more on that another time.
The other day, it came up with Paten about the number of syllables that her pet names are.
That made me wonder what percent of my pet names were 2 syllables, and how many were 1, or more than 2.
My conclusion is that most of my pet names have been 2 syllable, but some that I really liked have been more, or just one.
How about you? And, did you choose any names based on syllable count?
How about your pets over the years?
Looking back...I chose random names of pets that we've had, to see their pattern. For example:
Dogs with 2 syllables: Tango, Beyorne, Boomer, Bruiser, Maggie, McDuff, Evey (Lady Eve, but called Evey.), Mizu, Krypto, Randy, Suzy, Baby, Mitsy, Gauntlet, Wally, Frosty, Thunder, Brutus, Puppy, Bengal, Ginger, Rufus.
(A couple of the above dogs came with their names.)
Dogs, 1 syllable: Zeus, Jet, Red, and Taj.
Dogs, more than 2 syllables: Timothy (but, always called Tim-Ben.), Abraxus - always called Brax, though, which isn't 2 syllables, either.
Cats, 2 syllables: Mamou, Henry, Alfred, Pierre, Sluggo, Boaris, Eegee, Blueboy, Lilac, Princess, Tuffet, Momo, Simon, Junebug, Hunter, Pinky, Frosty, Bubbles, OneToe, Pumpkin, Snowball, Cobby, Lanai, Kayak, James Bond, Badger, Sailor, Moxie, Goldie.
Cats, 1 syllable: Tux, Fang, Tag, Ghost, Brock, Jack, Coon.
Cats, more than 2 syllables: Uhura, Pantera, Keanu, Okalani, Peppermint, Apple Blossom, Ananda, MacArthur, AquaNinja.
How about there?
