Yesterday, Henry's favorite toy, which is a mouse that Ds had bought Uhura a few years ago, was making it's usual noises. When the cat touches it, it sounds like a real bird. And, he touches it all the time, so it pretty much sounds like a bird in the house constantly. But, this time, the sound seemed to be coming from somewhere new. We wondered if an actual bird had gotten into the house.
But, when it was tracked down, it was discovered that Krypto had it in the kitchen. Somehow, he'd pulled it through the bars.
I guess that he figures that it's fair, because he often takes his Nylabone, and lays it by Henry. Or, back to the home truth about puppies...if it exists, it's theirs!
Krypto did something interesting. Previously, he's found screws and triangular bits of metal. They are appearing everywhere from the house building, and they aren't on the floor to be found. They are under and in each metal piece that run from floor to ceiling. There are 15 or more per wall in rooms and then the hallway. We have fished our share of them out of his mouth since he's been here. (Can you believe that he's only been here 7 week?)
Well, the other day, Dh went to move something by a living room window, and there, on the floor, by his feet, was a small pile of screws, triangular metal, and a nail.
Now, I *know* that the cats didn't do it, and I know that we didn't do it, which only leaves one person, er, dog! I have no idea why he gathered them as he found them and put them in a little pile, but I'm glad that he did, vs. chewing each one. Not that I think that his metal-bits chewing days are over.
We got that rain the other day, it didn't give us measureable rain, but it was enough to be a little noisy for a short time.
Krypto has never seen rain, and at first he was startled by noise on the roof. He's only used to the crows up there.
I decided that we had to take him out quickly, because I didn't know if it would stop raining, and I wanted him to add it to his experiences. So, he was leashed up in record time.
At first he wasn't sure if water coming out of the sky was a good thing, or not, but he did like all of the tiny amounts of water that he could taste. He *loves* water!
He accepted water falling from the sky pretty well, but we agreed that it overwhelmed him a little...so many new sights, a lot of new smells as it evaporated off of plants, house, vehicles, and the ground, plus being rained on. He didn't have a negative reaction, though.
Well, time for bed here. Including cats, and a certain pup.
Love All Life, Thank You For Posting! :)
