I was like you with the pandemic. Not working and at that time, no vehicle, so I remained a homebound individual who saw very few people during lockdown and until the vaccines were available.
So is your "British civil servant" a chocolate, black or yellow lab?
I remain a true sheltie girl. Currently, I have 2. Arwen is a 2 1/2 yr old bi-black female. She is quite petite, but scary smart and full of attitude. Aragorn is my newest. He is 7 months old, a blue merle and is already 3" taller and 5+ lbs heavier than Arwen. He is also smart, but more laid back and a bit of a dork. The goal is to train him to be my service dog.
The "family" also consists of 2 cats, a pair of 6 year old littermates. Apollo is a gorgeous silver tabby. His sister, Aurora, is a dainty, equally beautiful, classic tabby. I call her the Diva. Shakespeare's line from Midsummer Night's Dream, "Though she be but little she is fierce," is an apt description.
Not sure you knew, but I am no longer in South Carolina. I moved back to Ohio 11 years ago (11 years ago this weekend actually). I came home to care for my dad in his last few years. When he passed, I stayed. So I am living in my childhood home, sleeping in the bedroom from my youth. I have come full circle, LOL!
The dogs and I are currently enrolled in a basic obedience class. A friend works Arwen, while I train with Aragorn.
I hope you will stop in periodically, even better is often. My email is sheltiefan523 @ gmail . com (without all the spaces). Would love to have your email again.
