The funny part, is that kitten Henry was named after my great-grandfather.
One day I was talking to my last aunt, and she was lamenting that no one named anyone after her grandfather Henry, who was my great-grandfather.
Her daughter's daughter had just had a little boy, but they named him something else.
Not 1 hour after we spoke, the tiny black kitten literally showed up at our door, or a few feet from it, and I knew that naming him after great-grandfather Henry was meant to be.
It's great that Alfred is mellow for you. Krypto is not mellow, he's a fun-loving pup. But, I think that he is mellowing already with age. And, he loves to sleep in, and nap if we do, so perhaps he'll get there!
He follows us around, does Alfred do that?
Stairs aside, your house sounds great for you guys. And it's good that you've already thought of things to help you out, if and when you need them.
When we began planning this house, decades ago, I wanted a ranch style house with no steps.
As it got closer to reality in the 2000's, I went farther, and made it ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant. It added some square footage to the house, but I think that it's worth it.
Yes, we'd love that! Thank you again for coming in to post! Be safe.
