Oh, I know that edge-of-the-counter trick with smaller dogs!
Even with smaller dogs, we would keep things like chairs away from counters. Remember when Ds and family's Frankie got on the counter from something else, and ate raisins? Argh! And, his legs are shorter than a shelties!
Yes, I moved to lidded drinks a long time ago, too, but even for water. The cats leaned in to get a drink of mom's water because it was tastier that theirs. Jet thought that was a brilliant move to copy. *sigh*
I remember the Excedrin incident, of course, but did not remember that the medication had to be mixed into diet Coke.
I'm glad that Aragorn has had a change of heart about his fruits and vegetables. Krypto still doesn't think that carrots are food. Which is strange, because that's the place that most of my dogs began their produce-loving adventures.
Well, McDuff started with watermelons, and strawberries...from the garden!...and Brax started with stolen sweet potatoes, but most of them at any rate!
At least this isn't new for you. You've had lots of shelties before, and know the drill!
