It's The Little Things That Make Life Such A Big Deal!
Very sad news....
I just picked up chelsea from the vet and I had an older male doctor this time. He's the one that worked on her ears....as much as he could. He said the ear canals have calcified...both of them, however the right is worse. He said he has never seen this in such a young dog. She's lost some of her hearing, but what he thinks is going to happen is an operation that abraids inside the ear and she would be deaf. I'm taking her back to him in three weeks, first Friday of May and he will look again at hear ears. We may just bring her back on a regular basis and let them monitor her ears and eventually opt for the ablasion if she is in pain with her ears. The main thing for me is to keep her out of pain.
