Have you given your rattle trainer to people when they come in?
Our rattle equivalent, because I never was able to get the rattle trainer, though I like the idea of it, is a can of air meant for dog training. If you push the button, it makes a quick sharp noise as the air comes out.
He doesn't like that, at all. It's to the point where, if he sees you pick it up, or if you set it out in plain sight, he won't do certain things, like jump up on Ds.
In fact, it's what Dh used when he was being jumped on several months ago, and he never gets jumped on anymore. But, Ds is too tempting, I guess.
Now, though, he only jumps on Ds every now and then, not every time. And, once he's been here for a while, Krypto stops wanting to jump anyway.
Basically, he's learning to be excited with all 4 feet on the ground, whew!
Absolutely, on Chelsea getting her head wet!
On good years here, when it rained a normal amount, we had to treat the dogs with ear problems, like Taj, each day with the ear powder to prevent their problems on rainy days.
We tried to let him out when there was a break in the rain, but sometimes that wasn't possible. If we didn't treat daily during the rain, his ears got really bad, quickly.
We kept their heads' dry when bathing, and kept them out of the creeks.
Yes, grooming is a good point. Will the groomer mind keeping her head/neck dry, do you think? They shouldn't...
