He was here on the first. He didn't look well, we don't know why, and he wouldn't eat, no matter how we tried. He drank some water. But then he was gone, and has not ever come back. 
He could just show up in a week, or a month, but he's never left since we've had him. He was healthy looking a few days before he disappeared the first time, eating well, and lying in sunbeams with Mamou. He lived on the kitchen porch with the overhang, and his cat house, and only went a few feet from the house where there was sun, or a bug to chase.
We're very sad about him being gone, and so are the animals, aside from Uhura. Mamou stopped eating when he left, losing the weight that he'd gained. Also, he wanted out at random times, and was looking in places that he should have been. He's eating again, but he's missing him, you can tell.
Uhura never hung out in the yard, because she and Tux didn't get along well for some reason, though he got along with every other cat, and dogs. Now that he's not here, she's been in the yard a lot.
Even Krypto looks for him when he goes out. They were good friends.

Because I was not able to post, I don't believe that I posted that we lost a hen a few days ago. She was our silver laced wyandotte.
She seemed perfectly healthy the day before. But the following day, she was just gone in the chicken yard. We don't know what happened.

And, speaking of Uhura hanging around the yard when she's not in here with us, she has been bringing home rodents at least once a day. I appreciate the thought, but uhm...! 
She started that after we stopped having their old food, the wet one. I guess that she must think that we are bad hunters and have to be taught some hunting skills!
