AC needs to talk to the person, even if the dog is not out, and warn them, so that they know that no, it's not okay. In fact, no, it's not legal. But, they probably will not. Here it's generally the same...if the dog is out...

There are a lot of people that would take this in their own hands. In fact, over the years, I've been very concerned because I know people along my road who have zero patience. If a neighbor's dog gets onto their property, they will shoot it, no warning at all.

We've had neighbors' dogs down here before, and except for Fred, who is long gone, but used to come down here just to visit us, they all were sent safely back home. We didn't mind Fred's visits, though. He was a Kuvasz, and loved to interact with my three.
