How wonderful! What an interesting mix. Is the Aussie an Australian Shepherd, or other Aussie breed? Our Maggie was an Australian Shepherd, and a really great, as well as very intelligent, dog.
And, of course, growing up we had beagles.
How old is she now?
And, where did Dd find her? Was she in a private home, the pound, or...?
We had a dog named Evie once. She was in a private home, and needed a home. I traded a small, gold band for her.
Her actual name was Lady Eve, but we always called her Evie.
She was a colored bull terrier mix that looked nothing like a bull terrier. She was all black, with a white spot on her chest, and white toes. We had her when we moved up here, and she traveled up here with us, along with Beau the komondor, Maggie the Aussie, and McDuff the Scottie. It was quite the trip!
Your Evie sounds adorable and pretty!
The fenced off part of the yard is a good idea. That's what we've been working on, too.
Yes, they will pick up just about anything and eat it. Krypto is the same, though growing out of it a little now.
I'm glad that housebreaking is going well. An accident is to be expected now and then. I feel as if it's partly the dog and their prior experiences, but also their person's actions. Fussing over them, and taking them out often and at key times really does help.
What kinds of toys does she seem to like?
I'm so happy for you, and for Evie. She got a great home, and it sounds like you got a very special little girl!
