He won't look me in the eye unless he wants something from me usually when I'm reading in bed. Plus he is time sensitive and if I forget its any of his meal times, he let's me know by one bark. Then he waits to see if I remembered. If not another one bark. By 2 barks I get it. Lol
Due to the heat we only go play ball for 15 minutes give or take a few.
But he is off leash now most of the time. But I carry it with me just in case.
He barks more in the house looking out windows at people &/or dogs. Especially at me when I walk to the mailbox. Once he can't see me he stops.
One more odd thing he does. When he has his ball it is in his mouth. Now if he sees someone or a neighbors cat or a neighbor, he does this odd head and body shake with a noise. Not a bark or growl but a combo. Once he's done his dance he ignores who or what and brings me his ball to throw.
It really is odd. I think he does it to work off his "?emotional energy build up?" What do you think?
This is all probably more info then you asked for. Oh well. 8-)
He has gotten so much better at behaving. His barking is down with that dog under control.
Though Charlie has developed one bad habit. When I bring him in and he wants to stay out... he now grabs me and "humps" against my leg. I now have a small squirt bottle of h2o. All I have to do is point it at him.
The problem he the squirt bottle isn't always at hand. Sheesh!!!!
As for Boy, Charlie just wants to play ball. He jumps on boy until Boy says, "get your ball."
Thankfully DGS is not around cause he wouldn't playball when Charlie asked, instead he teased him constantly by hiding the ball, pretending to toss the ball. I told him to knock it off. But he wouldn't.
