One of us goes to the art room door and waits on the trick or treaters. We usually switch off. If the dogs aren't barking at the kids, we usually leave the front door open so they can see them through the screen door. This is only their 3rd year, so we take it as it goes. The boys used to love to see the kids and they didn't bark at them.

We just get part of the family on Thanksgiving, so they get to mingle and they usually get bites of turkey.

Christmas is everyone and they have been out in the past, but last family dinner I had to put them in our bedroom, so we'll play it by year. Sometimes so many people are stressful for them.

Last year we let them open their packages...Chelsea did great opening them, Missy just waited for her to get the toys out. LOL!
