LOL how funny with the pronunciation. She told me she was born in her folks home an lived there till she married. She only moved twice - once after marrying and in to her daughters home in town. I think the ranch was sold. Many of the elderly women lived in the family house and never left. Their husbands moved into that house and worked the cattle and fields. Most of them nevr traveed out of the area, Beaukiss used to be a town with a railroad station but when I lived there it was ranches only and a few new homes or trailers on big lots or property. The local cemetary has the body of Stephen F. Austin and others from the Alamo seige. Been there andd saw it. Unfortunately a nuber of KIDS? broke a number of the grave stones, his was one damaged. The Bapist Church was almost 200 years old. The Luthern Church was newer. There was a church at the foot of my road where every one met for town halls. The Elks had the small old church at the bottom of our hill and used it for their meetings. My friends lived across the street from it. Their home was very old they were both artists, but unfortunately divorced. Luckily I had stored my steamer trunks in her attic and when I returned to Beaukiss to live in the other friends cabin I was able to get my things back. Though that friend had sold out trailer and the van, all my tools and the western gear - saddles, etc. etc. Funny that woman remnds me of the one next door who bosses me around and even talked over me to the Dr. in th ER. Hummm! No matter where I live there seems to be one of those types in my life. Oh Boy says they may move here this year. Not holding my breath. I had to check what cat stuff I wrote about. LOLOL! I need a decent spray bottle and save some U. The wall is in an awkard angle. I need to move the stuff that is along the wall which keeps Charlie from under the house. This will take some thinking & planning. Plus I also need wash the mould off the siding all along there. I haven't been able to do any cleaning for two years. ARRRGH!!! I have a stupid Dr. Oh well. I have lots of plans for this place... if I can just get better first. I am improving But am still getting a bit dizzy - I think it is related to my bad glasses, or the meds. Time will tell. Oh I called the tax office yesterday and brought her up to date on all my problems. She called the tax woman who is supposedly dividing the property in half. ANyway, By will pay more then when he moves here he will also have the homestead benefit via the VA and SS and Medicare, etc. ANyway I told her re the hospital visits 4 all together. I paid 3 but not the Well bill yet. What to do about the washer - Bah! The washer pipes I think broke. Not sure - I am thinking of a small washer I can attach to the kitchen faucet when needed and I hang clothes in the house or on the line. Sorry this has gone on too long. Well have a good weekend. I had to go to chewy to buy a small box of Charlies treat, bones & darfords, plus Chance seed. They arrive Sat. I ran out two days ago. Thankfully I had some of the tiny training treats. Ok have a good one. Later I think I answered all your questions. Oh, I watch the BBC alot - mysteries and such - they are now advertizing Chewy products on it. I think its the BBC America station. There is also another US product being advertized on there as well. Times are changing. 8-( |
