I went to several sites just now, and some say Mamba, some do not.

But, only one brought the cobra into it.

Some divided the fastest moving from the fastest striking.

What I kept reading, was that sidewinder is the fastest. By nearly 6 mph. It was something like 12 for cobras and mambas, and 18 for sidewinders. I was telling Dh, when posting, that I wouldn't want to try to keep away from a sidewinder. I guess that I was right about that part, anyway!

I give up. Let's just say that there are some fast snakes out there!
