There are nothing but dead leaves scatter through my yard - but large areas are leafless and instead at thick sticky mud that glues itself to shoes and dog feet.

I am using a bristle brush meant for dishes to remove what is glued to Charlies feet and especially his claws.

I try to grab him before he heads for my bed. Unfortunately he is very fast. Luckily I have an old quilt on my bed and am able to keep the worst contained. Then I shake the quilt out the back door. YUCK!

Now that I am in less pain I am starting to focus on cleaning house. Oh hurrah! 8-[ Rain is due later this coming week.

At least the well pipes made it through the icing and freeze. Today temps are due to reach 61. Nights are in the 40's and higher. I am still nuking the rice bag for my feet, it works wonders and Charlie often worms his way under his quilt to the area of the rice bag. Though he has taken to moving into the living room chair across from the heater.

He is still not jumping on to the bed unless he has had a running start. I want to get him to the vet in April. Outside he is running like a mad man all over. Oh well can't do anything about it till then. He is doing better though! That's a good thing.
