I've had 3 dogs that were really attached to their balls.

One was Zack, who treated them like a child might dolls or cars. He would line them up in front of him.

One was Tango, though he was happy with soft toys, also.

And, one is Krypto. I don't think that I'd want to be a stranger that either touched one of 'his' cats, or one of his balls. He is very attached to them.

It sounds like Charlie is in the 'ball club.'

How interesting that he's so into his routines. You'd probably like random behavior less.
