I don't know if cat food was affected, but I hope not. A lot of people like it for their cats, especially the formula that you use.
I've tried over-the-counter medications for them. The best medications do come from the vet, but even those don't always do the job, despite being used correctly.
I keep Zymox on hand for other ear problems, and also for dogs, along with the Ear Fresh Ear Powder. But, that's another story.
Ds's vet recommended to try the following, if someone wanted to try an otc medication. It uses pyrethrins. I can't vouch for it, but I've said that I will try it if I discover the problem here.
