Tonight there was a ruckus on the hill behind the house. There were loud snorts and oinks. It had to be a wild pig or more than one, with babies!

We have them here, but they are rarely heard or seen at my place. Many years ago, one or more went under our front porch, but I think that the dogs discouraged them from staying close by.

The funny thing is, there was an article in the paper just yesterday about how destructive wild pigs tend to be, and how you do not want to be too near a sow with babies. Mind you, I'm wary of wild pigs without babies...
