We had strong winds all day - rain last night and there is still possible snow this weekend... more Sunday then Saturday. The weather is very cold, not the temp but due to the wind. Tonight maybe a cold one in the 30's.
My neighbor had one of their living room windows open the first day they left on vacation. Usually their Calico likes to be on the screened in porch.
Or sleeping on the back of the couch next to the open window. Boy that didn't last long. Their house was really cold the first night so I shut the window and the ceiling fan. Their cat opted for staying inside and curled up in a quilt on the couch.
I've know here since moving here and we get along great. She is a old fat beautiful Calico. She accepted me as a friend along time ago. I stop in twice a day and she runs out to say hi. Gets her rubdown and I check the food, water and her catbox. All was well when I left her purring a bit ago.
Charlie is also doing much better. He is back to jumping on to my bed. If one of his hips was hurt I don't think it bothers him anymore. Plus he had a large pad on his left rear paw that was hurt. I've ben keping an eye on it and I think that is almost mended now. He tore off all day once out the door this morning and during our other walks.
He was so excited to find deer in A's back yard - which is as large as mine back yard. I let him do his deer barking and running back and forth deer alert. The deer totally ignore him once they take a look at him. I find it very funny. Luckily he is not as intense as he was when we first moved here. The Deer used to run away now they just stand at him and me, look and munch on grass, etc. Eventually they don't bother looking at us at all. 8-)
I have lacy flowers blooming on me Redtip bushes. Lovely. There are tons of tiny wild flowers all over the yard. My new push mower won't cut the tall grasses. Luckily I have 4 long extension cords that reach to the back fence. I just have to careful not to wack them when do the grasses.
I apparently had two large birds that were hanging out in the Cedar trees. I only caught a glimpse and thing they were Hawks. Beautiful and so silent when in flight.
Another Hawk was making its territory by calling as it circled around a huge area. I could hear it's call very fantly then as it flew closer the call was loud. So I knew it had been flying in circles that were further then closer to here. It flew overhead making circles from various angles in the sky. Lovely.
The vultures have been back for about a week. There was a huge Kettle circling and swooping down to the ground then circling again. So silent and so large - when they fly over my house or sit on the power poles I have gotten some great closeups. They are so huge and watch me as I take pictures of them.
Well, they really think we may have snow on sunday/monday. I hope myneighbors get home before the sleet, snow, ice hits. They are quite far away.
Well, one of the birds has begun singing Dirty, Dirty, Dirty.. LOLOL! Hysterical.
Well, that's it for now. I am slowly getting back to normal but a tad behind on my normal paperwork.
I have had the heaters on for two days now. I doubt the temps will get lower then 30. At least I hope not.
The sky is cloudy and I haven't seen any stars for months. I hate not seeing the stars. Just plainold stars, as I missed all the sky events. Oh well.
Have a good weekend. Or whats left of it.
