We struggle with fur here, at certain times of the year. I have an assortment of hand tools for couches, chairs, and so forth.

I can't bend like that anymore, either.

If she's game, perhaps the woman who cleans homes would come over once a month, 6 weeks, etc., whatever you think, depending on time of year, and specifically clean *under* stuff. Vacuuming only might work out. It's a thought, anyway.

Oh, we had a carpet rake for a while...but it was for shag carpeting. Does that tip you off to the time period? lol! I got really good at using it. I could get the shag to stand up, and rake myself out of the room without leaving a single footprint! :-) But, I never used it for fur. Our dogs had short fur, and we didn't have a cat at that time.

Good luck with this. I kind of like getting someone to vacuum when needed!
