...prefer to be much farther from a skunk then they can spray! Sometimes it can't be helped, but if you can keep a good distance, it's best.

Not only because of being sprayed, but because here, in Calif., they are one of the top carriers of rabies, along with bats, and up here, also foxes. Any animal can carry it, but they are the top ones, statistically speaking.

They are really cute, though, if you look at their faces, especially the spotted variety.
