Have a pair made to order by a shoe guy?

I did that once, in the 80's, for Dh. It was a great move as we learned his actual size, which he wasn't getting at the time. And, his shoe width was odd for the size. So, worth it at the time, but where can you go now for that, and what is the cost if you could find someone? It's like finding a guy to repair an older typewriter...which I've been looking for, for 20 years! :-)
