the leather one is loose enough to keep him from choaking and tight enough to stay on. And I never put a leash on the leather collar. Just the martingale. Poor Charlie he can't run and jump at all.

He behaves better then I thought he would. Though I have to keep a tight grip on the leash. In fact I use both hands if he is resiting. One on the handle of the leash and one closer to mid way down the leash. So far so good.

He will never recover from the problem. He is not in capacatiated (sp) if he has a surge of energy he will jump, run full out, etc.

Thats whats scarey, for the vet told me he will feel much better after a few weeks. Then if he is off leash he will do what he wants.

I am hoping to buy 2 large bamboo panels to block off my DHill neighbors yard. If they get a dog or two as they were saying.

Ok 1 hour till PM pill time. We were just out and I was pulling horrid huge weeds to toss them away while hanging on to his leash. Sheesh, That's challenging.
