Charlie was sound asleep too. Watching his curled up body, his head tucked away - I was so shocked.. and yes no clawing...plus the vet had cut his claws way back. Whew!!!

Boy & I compare the the type and number of strikes. He is on the dessert. I am atop a hill and much closer to the storm. Honestly. Scarey stuff. I got the closer strikes.... clouds here often cap the hill tops. Not fog. The rain has begun to flood my down hill side yard. It is uncovering the bare rock.. any dirt I have was laid down when house built. Trees grow straight out of the bedrock.

This area is old old and first settlers were pioneers and miners and such.

We have been in tons of rain storms off and on for weeks now.. storms are getting closer to each other this past week and more due every day or night this coming week.

I walkl in rain but not in thunder storms.

As for Hill country... they were made millions of years ago or more if I got the numbers wrong. The Archeologist I talked too said a Million, million
years ago.

The earthquake crater was made during the hill country creation. That it only leaks is a good thing.

There are dinosauer prints all over and the fossils I find are from the seabed that was here at the creation of the earth. The dinosaurs are from the later peiods of course. But my fossils are from the earlier, earlier years.

I have hundreds of fossills of all types and sizes. Absolutely Fricking cool!!!
