Would you say that your dog will show the same interest in dog treats as they will for 'people food treats' such as pieces of popcorn, or carrots?
And, how well do you like your dog treats? Are there others that you also like, or like even more?
Hira didn't come with much. No bed, no dish - though she was supposed to, no food, etc.
Just a bag of Beggin' Strips, I think they are. Something like that.
I like the rice and sweet potato treats that we used to give the dogs - they look like Gnocci, and were literally 2 ingredients.
The dogs also liked the dried sweet potato treats - 1 ingredient, and dried salmon treats...also 1 ingredient. As you can see, I like 1 and 2 ingredient treats.
But they 'work for' people-food based treats, mostly. Either air popped popcorn that I got especially for them and us, or "croutons." Dh gets a gf bread with a lot of good stuff in it, and I make 'croutons' out of the heels, and the crust corners. I just cut the pieces into small, crouton-sized pieces, then air dry them for a few days, then put them in a container. They become perfectly dry and hard, like something that you might buy pre-made to make stuffing out of. They love them.
Oh, and a healthier version of corn chips. Neither has a problem with corn, and if you break up a chip into several pieces, it makes a good training treat, or just a treat.
And, homemade dog treats, of course, but I don't make them regularly, so they are more for special occasions.
How about your pups?
