and had blood work done. All was fine. He was a bit leaner than he had been in his youth, but he was 14, and I just thought it was because he was getting older. He really started getting really skinny after the first of the year. In March, we had another round of tests including bloodwork, and he was anemic and had lost even more weightHe lost over 3 pounds from December to March. He was still a happy boy, and I got him soft food, and he was eating and seem to be feeling better. Then, he seemed even leaner. He lost 1.9 pounds in a month. I decided I would let him go as long as he seemed to be happy which he was. He continued to get leaner, and I just decided that he was still not suffering terribly, but was weaker, so we had him put to sleep. It was rough as he was problably one of the neatest kitties we have had. He didn't get snippish with the others and just did his thing. He is missed.
