You know that I really wanted to change her name originally. I thought that if something rhymed with her name... Well, she paid no attention to the rhyming names, but when I said her actual name, her head whipped up to look at me. That's when I sighed and decided that she would keep her name.

But, that's not the whole story!

Apparently, when he former owner got her, he tried various names. He'd previously had a dog (dogs?) named Hira (I never 'reuse' a dog name, but that's just me.) and he tried it. She whipped up her head when he said it, like she did here, so that's how she got he name originally. I just learned that recently, and thought it interesting.

Yes, Charlie is different than many dogs. A true fur-person.
