I felt like I was also. Luckily we both recovered overnight. Tuesday was not as bad and in fact ws almost ok in afternoon. Wed was good so I went to the Community Ctr and played Dominos. Whew I was sorry I couldn't take Charlie as the air conditon with ceiling fans were pure bliss. I got home - having a ride from an elderly couple that live up the hill and around the corner. They are so awesome and in their late 80's. They have been married forever. They are wondeerful people. So when they dropped me off at home I wnted to check Charlie right away. Whew! The house was still coolish. He just wanted out. So I let him go check on the deer. Of course he scared them off. I always walk with him when ever he is out in the yard but never leave him alone. So we were out for about 15 minutes which was enough for both of us. The sun was directly overhead so we stuck with the shaded areas under all the trees. He finally wanted to go in which was fne with me. It was about 5:30 we went out again but we had to endure the inbetween hours with the sun blasting into my bedroom and the living room. Lordy it's been seeringly hot. This morning I let him out early, 6ish just at first light. It almost felt cool. He Yesterday had been another hot afternoon. Luckily I had messed with the fans etc and managed to get better air flow. Sofar today has the potential to be less humid in the afternoon. In fact at 9am I took the trash out sans Charlie and was refreshed by the cool air. I let Charlie out and we both enjoyed the weather. Soon after of course the sun rose up the hill and the temps started blasting. We both headed for the backdoor. Whew. So I am doing bills, hitting AZ for some dog stuff and house supplies. But also having to deal with Sahara Sand that has been in the air. Most of us at the community center have been coughing or sounding hoarse. It's a pain. Even Charlie coughs sometimes. Well they say we will have a drier air today. Still the temp will be 102 at 5pm... so afternoons will be hot. At least by 5ish the trees above A's house on the hill will begin to provide some shade from the West. Ok that's it for now. My Fasting apointment will be next tuesday.. getting a ride from a friend then taking her to lunch. Friday we play Cards and no not Bridge. 8-) I really hope the humidity is mostly gone. It's been a killer and people have died from it - especially elderly folks. Be safe, I hope your weather is nicer then ours Though CA is in the 90's where DD lives. TA TA! |
