Someone saw some cats in a Japanese tea shop freak out and run one night, on their camera. Then, there was a 6 point plus earthquake, so they decided to study the phenomenon.

Apparently, the long inner ear area that they have, allows cats to hear the precursor to an earthquake, when no one else can.
