Midnight Mass 1943




It was an icy cold Night

The Moon was out

And Stars twinkled bright

We walked to Church

My Mother and me

To Midnight Mass in 1943

We lit the Candles
And sang "Silent Night"
When I realized,everybody cried
They cried for Husband's
Brothers and Sons
Gone to War, for much to long.
This Memory of Sadness
Still haunts me today
For "Peace on Earth and no War
I will always pray.
