Ever wondered why the stars don't fall
Why the earth hasn't spun off into space
It's really very simple, God holds each
Within its place
Both the moon and the sun
He holds in the heavens above
So that each may shine upon us
As a symbol of his love
Every rock, tree and cloud
Even the waters of the sea
Each he gently holds
Right where it should be
Nothing escapes his attention
Nor the grasp of his loving hands
Each he holds securely
Even the tiniest grains of sand
All that God has created
He gently holds in place
Even you and I my friend
God holds us in his grace
No matter what life may bring
With in his love you'll find a calm
And no matter where we travel
He holds us in his palm
For there is nothing in existence
No matter how simple or grand
That God doesn't hold
Within his loving hand .
