Of the North Country Way
Two Hunters walking Home
On a cool October Day

Tired and dejected
They are pondering their Luck
Wondering how he got away
That big 12 point Buck

The black Lab, is still searching
Hoping to find a Trail
Scaring up a Pheasant
Or a pretty little Quail
-
The two Hunters are walking home
On that lonesome Track
But, I bet my last Dollar
That, tomorrow they will be back
