It was September 11, 2001
A date no American will forget
The day the Twin Towers fell
And the Pentagon was hit
Attacked by Islamic terrorists
Determined to succeed at all cost
The world watched in horror
As thousands of innocent lives were lost
From the Middle East reports came in
America's enemies were dancing in the streets
They thought Americans were weak
And would now hang their head in defeat
But as was the case with Pearl Harbor
This enemy only enraged a spirit defiant
And it would soon feel America's wrath
By having to face an unstoppable giant
With a resolve of Presidents past
President Bush's words left no doubt
Those responsible would be tracked down
Then either brought to justice or taken out
But let it be forever known
Before Congress or the President spoke
War had already been declared
By common everyday American folk
Four of the terrorist had hijacked a forth plane
And on a day that still seems insane
There target was the White House
But all their planning would be in vain.
Because the passengers now knew the truth
They would be used to kill many others
Perhaps innocent children
Or maybe their own sisters and brothers
So the passengers of United Flight 93
They rose up and took a stand
And it was over the skies of Pennsylvania
They fought the terrorist hand to hand
Though the lives of all aboard were lost
And no one knows who's blood was first spilled
It was a victory for the Heros of Flight 93
Because no one else on the ground was killed
By his own admission
The 9/11 attack was Osama Bin Laden's plan
Then for the next 10 years
Bin Laden hid in Pakistan
It's said that when the Twin Towers fell
It was Bin Laden who led the cheers
But one must wonder at his death
If President Bush's words echoed in his ears
The attacks on 9/11
Will be remembered as an unspeakable crime
But it's the words of those on Flight 93
That will span the ages of time
An inspirational battle cry heard around the world
The kind that comes from the soul
It was a two word declaration of war
When the Heros of United Flight 93 said,
Lets Roll !!!!
