" Changes "

As I go through life
At times I've struggled to keep pace
And then suddenly I noticed
Certain changes had taken place
-
Some who are my senior
They often tell me I'm still a pup
While others my age sometimes say
Hey old timer, What's up?
-
And there are those a little younger
Who express their opinions so bold
Always quick to remind me
That I've grown so very old
-
It's true that in my life time
Modern technology has changed so very much
It's no wonder that my children
Sometimes say I'm out of touch
-
But when my grandchildren look at me
It's through innocent young eyes first rate
They always say, I love you Grandpa
And in their hearts, I know that I'm great
-
So as I ponder life's many changes
While rocking in the sun's warming light
There can be only one logical answer
My grandchildren are just, oh so very bright !!!!!
