DeBoyd and Eileen Smith
As we go through life and learn each day,
Something new for evil or good
Do we ponder each move with the choices we have?
Do we give it the thought that we should/
When a voice within cries 'No,' do we stay
Or turn a deaf ear to the sound.
Do we hesitate, then choose right or wrong.
Before planting each foot on the ground.
Do we give any thought to our after-self
To the person we then want to be.
Is our goal the highest in the Kingdom of God.
There to dwell for Eternity.
If this is our aim-the Celestial realm
For we ought not with less be content.
Think of each wrong thought or deed we've done
Or word we've said and repent.
Then choose what is right, the good things of life
Gain a knowledge of God's great plan.
Build a body and soul of strength and love.
Mold them equal to any man.
'For now is the time to labor' tis said
So to dwell in Eternity.
Our after-self throughout the years
Will be what we want it to be.
