When the Waiting Is Done
When my life is ended and my chores all are done
I'd wait awhile before you until the setting sun
I'd pause beside the river and wait beneath the trees
Watch silently the flowers, and hear the hum of bees
I'd wonder when my time is gone, did I do my best?
I'll hear Him whisper softly, "you've finished and yes you passed the test."
I'd feel the lacy veil as my spirit passes through
I'd give the signs and symbols and then I'd search for you.
The Light shines through the vision and loved ones watch and pray
And I'd feel the wings enfold me, as I moved along my way.
The sound of flowers mimic the harp sounds we heard here
No doubt our destination holds nothing such as fear
No mean-ness, no harsh wording, contention's left behind
Our new classroom is pure light; all answers hit the mind.
A gathering so sweetly blends with the notes of love
Our Father and our Mother and Jesus with the Dove...
We're come home to Glory a new world to begin
When our time has ended and He'd paid our price of sin.
