"You're from Earth?" Serna was completely blown away by that answer, "WOW! It seems like everyone I meet these days is from Earth. I never expected you to be from there too."
"My world was from Earth. I was born between the worlds, silly. Actually more closer to the Realm, the old world is scary, very scary." Caliaphy said with added affect.
"Why is the old world so scary for you?" Serna began to pry, "Are there monsters there?"
"Monsters like you can't even imagine. Magic is considered to be evil there." Caliaphy turned back into the fairy when they arrived on the other side.
"No kidding!" Serna shook her head in disbelief, "Magic is considered to be evil on Earth? Why?"
The Elder tapped his staff again and another younger elven druid came forward. This younger druid was still older than everyone in the party save for Lazheros and Irzen as he motioned the party to follow him to the left of where the party appeared.
Raising his arms and speaking in the druid tongue, a slightly smaller tree growing up from the colossal branch contorted and parted to form an archway. In the middle of the trunk itself a portal appeared showing the country side of Northhaven not yet touched by the invaders.
The Elder stepped forward and gestured to the party to pass through, "Quel fara. Melloneamin."
"Diola lle, amin heru," The prince replied before he stepped through the portal.
"I'm surprised at how easy all of this is," The Swordsman quipped to no one in particular, "In the past, we had to quest for a portal just to get to another land. It's pretty nice to have one so readily available for a change."
"Yeah, its really nice not to have to trudge through some forsaken land, or a dungeon isn't it. Anyway, I get the feeling this is a one way trip." The elementalist said as she followed the ranger through the portal.
"For whom?" Irzen asked with a raised eyebrow, "I, for one, have no intention of taking up permanent residence in Northaven. I'm here to help save the place not settle down. No offense, Willow."
"Alyson meant to say that this portal is a one way trip an added precaution to prevent the horde from finding their way to Asylum." The Bronze Man said as his attire changed slightly to fit the customs of the land.
"None taken," The Prince replied evenly, "I admit my homeland is not for everyone. But you will all be welcome there if you can lend your aid to our cause."
"OOOHHH! Now I understand, thanks for the clarification." Irzen nodded to Lazheros before he began to scan his immediate surroundings.
"Lead on, Willow. You know these lands better than any of us here," The elementalist said.
The Prince looked around, "By the shape of the landscape, we are in the Southern Valley. We need to march at least two days to the north to reach the outskirts of the capital."
The Swordsman continued to look around, "I'm surprised. There are no rangers or wardens nearby firing off warning shots at us for invading their territory. Or at least none that I can see."
Willow nodded as he looked around, "Agreed, there is something wrong here. Unless my wardens are better hidden than I thought, none of them would leave the Southern Valley unguarded."
"I have a suggestion," The Swordsman offered to both Lazheros and Alyson, "Could either of you peform a Detect Elf spell or some such thing-a-magigy that would allow us to see if there are any Elves nearby?"
