Re: Westfall"
The elven captain rode up ahead and talked with the guards at the gate and then rode back as they opened wide to let the refugees and the party enter. They crossed a series of bridges lined with narrow ravines filled with thorn trees in the lower banks. The second bridge was filled with water that came up from an underground aquifer filled with water sprites and various other aquatic life, and last but not least the last bridge was lined with massive treants and mallorn trees that towered above seeing far and wide in all directions over the walls of the city itself. The city was at the center where a single massive mallorn tree housed the ruling family of Westfall. Serna and Irzen both marvelled at all they saw as they took in their surroundings. Willow stoically made his way onward across the bridges of Westfall toward his final destination. Some of the city folk gasped at the sight of Prince Willow and the company he came with. Not what some were expecting but not unwelcome either. The elven captain remained with Willow and his friends on their way to the palace, while the rest of his company headed back to the stables. Andaerean dismounted finally and awaited his prince to join him. "This way my prince. Your friends may come with you. Princess Liliandra will want to know if you any of you have heard of her husband's whereabouts." The Prince dismounted and motioned for the others to follow. Serna followed with her mouth agape as she stared at the awe and wonder of the Elven city. Irzen took it all in as well as he moved after Willow. "It will be good to see my sister-in-law again," The Prince added, "Though I wish the circumstances were happier. Of all of my brother's wives she is the smartest and most knowledgeable. Lililandra has always been more the scholar than the princess." Captain Andaerean lead the group up the winding stair case that wove around the tree's base and up into the canopy. Once there he bowed before Princess Liliandra, "My lady, Prince Willow has returned in hour of need and he has brought with him allies." Princess Liliandra stood tall and fair before the party. Long dark hair, with blue eyes wearing a light green robe. This beautiful elf maiden glanced about everyone from the child to the drow. "Welcome to Westfall. My heart is gladden that Prince Willow has returned, yet I do not see my husband, Prince Yew. I fear he may have been captured by the horde, or worse. Please tell me you have brought word of what has become of him?" "My eyes see with joy, Princess Liliandra," Willow placed his hand over his heart, "I have no word as to the whereabouts of my brother. I had hoped that he was here by your side." Turning back to the others, the Prince added, "However, it would be rude of me not to introduce you to my friends." Willow introduced each of them to Liliandra and Irzen and Serna greeted her back in return. The elementalist approached bowed respectfully, "I am Alyson Khyng, elementalist and friend of Prince Willow." Alyson's last name sounded familiar to her, "Khyng? Are you related to King Madeous?" "I am. He is my uncle, your highness." Alyson said. The bronze man stepped forward, "I am Lazheros, cleric of Bahamut, your highness." "The Guardian of Asylum?" Liliandra gasped, "We are most grateful that you have come in hour of need, especially with the return of Prince Willow."
