My power co. started using wireless meters about 15 or so years ago. A truck drives down the street and downloads the data. Three years ago they installed new, upgraded meters and ever since then my bill has been way lower than it should be. Average summer bill was around $220 but ever since the meter upgrade it's averaging around $150! Winter bill is around $40. I suspect they installed a defective meter and it's just a matter of time before they catch the error and back-charge me but for now..I KNOW NOTHING!
