All the wise ones are saying it was a sonic boom although they say that is uncommon for a meteor to create that. They say it must have been large and possibly some of it may have hit the ground. They said that the stuff is more valuable than gold so now you have a bunch of dolts out looking for pieces of it. No matter they have no clue what the thing looks like and how far and wide the stuff scattered. Heck, it may have made it to Nevada or even California. May even be in the specific ocean.
