Ok, so I got my Complete Series set of Mayberry RFD. I already had the first season and watched it through years ago. I am starting all over from the beginning. I want to analyze each episode viewing and see if any stand out as extra special or funny.

I have made it through the first six episodes.

For the most part, my thoughts are, is that it is just relaxing comfort tv. I do enjoy most all of the characters and as it has been said, It is like visiting old friends. The first episode is classic with Andy and Helen's wedding. Nothing else stands alone yet. Good, relaxing, not great. I am appreciating the character and acting of Emmett more and more. I think Paul Hartman was excellent! His mannerisms and acting were so natural. He can make me chuckle in a lot of his scenes! I think the writing got lazy and they just ran out of ideas. The show just needed that one special comedian that Don Knotts brought to TAGS. Otherwise, I think the supporting cast and characters done well with what they had to work with.

Mixed feelings about Season 3. We lose Aunt Bee and ...the real MAYBERRY set.
