This was a pretty funny Mayberry RFD episode. It was good to once again see the inside of the courthouse with Goober arresting Howard. I thought Sam Jones was good in this also interacting with his Mayberry pals.

I have always found it odd that the writers chose to have Mayberry without a Sheriff & Deputy in the RFD season two and three episodes. Just having Goober as an emergency Sheriff's deputy really seems to step on the toes of Andy Taylor's legacy. I mean, the Andy & Barney storylines of law and order showed that Mayberry indeed, like any normal town, would need full time law enforcement.

In the council meeting, Howard's proposal got shot down by Sam, Cyrus and Emmett but he was totally right!!!!!
