Does it ignite and then go out right away? That's a sign of a dirty flame sensor rod, the most common furnace problem and also the easiest to remedy; just clean it with fine grit sandpaper. Lots of videos on YouTube to assist. Of course I would think that the tech would have zeroed in on that, but then again he wants to sell a new furnace, too. I wish you luck, buddy.
